Antxiola Getariako-Txakolina Rosado 2017

 Product Description

Antxiola (anh-cho-la) named for a fort near the town of Orio, where the famous Spanish Admiral Antxiola resided. The vineyard located but a stone's throw from the Bay of Biscay, sits a mere 90 meters above sea level. This proximity allows for bright light and cool breezes off the ocean, which play an important role in the inviting citrus, berry, fresh cut herb and sea spray aromas that carry through on the palate. The bright acidity gives this wine a slight effervescence that tickles your tongue, giving the Rosado lovely freshness. What we love best here is the mineral core and the salty, savory long finish, that is lip-smacking. This wine screams for oysters on the half-shell, grilled shrimp in a garlic herb sauce and crab cakes. The perfect crowd-pleaser to enjoy at any summertime festivities.
