"FRV100 (ie. effervescent) is a play on words. This is sparkling gamay made in the ancient style, much like Cerdon de Bugey: grapes are fermented in chilled vats until the alcohol reaches about 6%. After a light filtration, the wine is bottled and continues fermenting with the remaining yeasts, stopping at about 7½-8% alcohol. The resulting wine is lightly sparkling and very fruity."
